Actually...it might be kind of interesting to sit down and compare the source code for EU2 and CK to see if there was anything that was recycled beyond the odd really basic C++ GUI libraries.

Would Paradox consider scrapping the 'text file' format for its save games? My 1160 save game, at 25 megs, is 11,000+ pages of text. Surely this is not the most efficient means of doing things.
It seems like there are huge performance gains to be had by moving away from this format.

The game has to handle the same ammount of data if the file size is 25mb or mabe only 5.
The only thing that would happen -> slower loading/saving time.
But i think it loads/saves fast enough!![]()
