The video is corrupted into about a 2 inch square in the top left of my monitors.
I have tried both the 1024 and 1280 resolutions using the settings application to no avail.

I have just purchased this game on steam and would appreciate any assistance.
Windows 7 SP1 x64
8 GB Ram
NVidia GTX 760 2gb

I have also end the bink video process that was hung and saw the splash screen for Victoria for a second and then it went black.
Is there a way to set it to windowed mode rather than full screen? This fixed my Victoria II issue that was very similar to this.

For making changes to the game it seems best to copy the entire game directory to another hdd or partition, so that steam doesn't undo the changes you've made. Simply keep the steam version as your backup.

You can simply delete the avi sub-directory so that the game can start directly and go to the main screen.
