Synopsis: France dramatically improves her economy. France-OE war Austria-Bradenburg. OE gets ass handed to them on platter (you'll get him next time barnius). France engages 50k Germans in the plains Koln with 55k (5k French superiority in cav, France crossed no rivers) 5 shock Henri IV vs. 3 shock Wismar, even morale. After 1 sec Henri and the entire army vanish Wismar is left with losses of less then 10k (if any one has an explanation i'd love to hear it). War ends inconclusively with France losing nothing (minus that satanical battle) and OE losing 2 provs?
Then Porto (good relations), Venice (had NAP), Spain (had NAP) decide for some reason to "Gang Rape" (term used within EU2 bounds and implying no sexually diverse practices or abuse) a France that not only lost its uber-leader but oddly when they dow'd, I checked my army in Lorraine and it is missing its two leaders (i had no message about their passing). Pretty much resigned to the situation I pound a few Spanish armies and then submit to my dismemberment. KJ kindly WP'd France.
After the fact the Spanish sub expresses some regret (nothing concrete) and asks why I didn't tell him of the NAP, which I thought either the GM or Fred (who got him would have) not to add that I did inform him just after the dow. This matter changes little and I have to run off to work some 15 mins prior to session end.
Well it seems that much of the Europe has come around to see these tremendously treacherous acts for what they are and alms and offers have been placed before the french court. Sadly, I won't be able to entertain them as the Hapsburg hating french regent (moi) any-longer, my term has come to an end. I warned you guys that I wasn't sure how long i'd be able to play France (but a few sessions for sure) and last days leaving early was just a prelude. My work won't (timewise) permit me to sacrifice mid-wednesday anymore or that convenient (EST, CET wise) time of any weekday. I live on Canada's west coast so its the middle of the day for me. My work is mainly done in higher and lesser intensity time periods, this is one of the higher times.
Some weekday evenings, and weekends are pretty much my only EU2 availability for awhile. So i'll have to resign from this game, it was a pleasure playing with you mates and suffice to say last sessions abuse of France was primarily a sub-venture so I hold no bitterness (I wouldn't anyhow ). If you can't find a sub or perm i'll try as well. Thanks for the game mates.

Yes, France's economy as well was on a dramatic upturn this session but cut rudely short by the war. Growth was charted at 95 session start to 120 before the 3-1 "traitors war"
. When I left it sat back on the 85 mark , so I had no chance to show France's economic health before I left. No matter, with good friends and carefully chosen conflicts France is still in good shape. I do agree however, that more then a good diplomat and economist France's next regent should be first and foremost skilled in the arts of war, as any opponent of the Archduke of Austria knows (considering diplomacy is usually useless with KJ ).GL.
