OK, if he believes it's easier this way, but we Ottomans, know only firm hand and centralised government can ensure that all possible rebellions and inobedience of provincial warlords is kept under controll. When the province od Porugal rebells, Felipe will be sorry .

Well, he should be, at least, but perhaps not... It's quite possible he suffers from a multiple personality disorder, for he is both formal ally of Venice (as Felipe of Spain) and has Venice on the list of most hated enemies (as Felipe of Portugal).

AUS-POL alliance? I thought it was Austria-Brandenburg and Poland an enemy of Brandenburg... So confussing .

OOC: So you say Spain and Portugal are two completely independent as far as our game is concerned?

It's not really that important, I initiated this because I remember how much trouble I had with that event when I played Portugal in Mach 2...

Just to clarify (hopefully) my position on the issue of Swedish(+Danish)-Polish cooperation vs. Russia.

Firstly, I'm having a lot of fun fighting.

However, there ARE a few minor irritations.
1) No matter what I try, the only way I might be breaking up this alliance (non-signed, but pretty obvious ) is giving up land or other rather large concessions,or so it seems.
2) despite claims to the contrary, Russia isn't all that strong.. and I have been on the verge of collapsing a few times. While I'll admit that the ingame-numbers are not all that much in favour of my enemies as I portray it at times, the superior CONTROL and SUPERVISION because of it being atleast 2 human players against one, which seems to be conveniently forgotten
3) lack of variation Sweden's sole aim seems to be to get provinces off of Russia, Poland's sole aim seems to be to keep Russia from any advance whatsoever. Whereas both could be doing something else for a change. (a Crusade against the Turk [While Barnius has been defeated by Austria, he's certainly still an interesting opponent], getting some colonies, fighting out a religious conflict, that sort of stuff)
And while I enjoy war, a lot, I wouldn't mind watching colonists moving from Moscow through the corridor for a while...

Well, there is this absolutely wonderful and brilliant deal the Pole proposed yesterday. It gives you all the time in the world to colonize Siberia and those nasty wars with Poland and Sweden will be long forgotten. .

The Sultan wishes to express his dissatisfaction with the tone of Russian letter. The fact that Ottoman Empire is poor, week, backwards and underdeveloped™ is not a reason to point at us as a perfect target for military practices

We are however happy to see the letter edited and explained. Well, rather poorly explained really, so Sultan will take the liberty to point out what the great Czar meant: attack evil Austria, that threatens to shake the very foundations of Europe with constant marching of her armies
