Good session!

It was fun giving France and the OE a taste of their own medicine, and retaking some lost provs. It wasn't as much as we could've taken, of course.
This last OE-Austrian war should've been won, but for the stupid battle in Banat

. At least 35k cavalry lost, and 10-15 warscore from battles in that and the retreat back to Vienna. Still have +22 warscore from battles alone, after Hungary's been retaken, but with no manpower the war is tough going.
The Sultan offers peace for a swap of Croatia and Dalmatia plus some money for the reformed provs in Hungary. Austria does not accept these terms though, as I'm in no hurry to relieve the OE of its minority religions. If this trade were for Pest, a catholic prov, maybe I'd jump for it. But it's not, so the offer is declined

.
And the Emperor encourages the Sultan to increase his WE further. Perhaps the masses will rise up and overthrow the government? A civil war in the OE would seem appropriate, considering the disregard the current administration seems to have for the economy, with inflation soaring and no improvements in infrastructure=). If the Beys are consciencious of where this is leading, they will surely rise up and try to end the current war, at least.
To be perfectly honest, Croatia and Dalmatia aren't worth anything to Austria. They increase my stab costs and my tech costs, and pose a risk of making me waste a random manufactury event by putting a worthless goods manu in one of the provs. The only reason I'm continuing the war now is that it hurts the OE far worse than it does Austria, and that helps me more than gaining provinces. Heck, I don't even have any revolt risk in my country

.
