Being inspired by the Kasierreich mod immensely, I decided to make a very…interesting mod.
Originally I wanted to construct a mod based around a Napoleonic victory in Europe, but seeing how I would have to basically make up nearly 120 years of history while dealing with the pain of properly placing in leaders, I thought I might as well make up something completely original and extremely humorous.
Of course this isn’t just MY mod, it’s the ENTIRE community’s! I will except input from EVERYONE, no matter how ridiculous. And if things go as planned, I’ll allow anyone to mod it as they please without any constraint. I’m planning on creating a monster here.
Right now, the story is only paper thin, leaving room for improvement and expansion. Here’s some quick plans I have for this mod:
1. The continent is a Pangea (one continent rather than several).
2. Takes place in the year 1000, although the ‘civilizations’ on this planet are slightly more advanced than we were in 1936 (Mechas anyone?)
3. PIRATES! Maybe the ‘secret’ provs can be used for this? Or possibly give the pirates a small island of operations?
4. A completely revamp tech tree.
5. Different government sliders, governments, etc.
6. Custom music/sound effects (this’ll be saved for last.)
7. and… what ever your little hearts desire.
Now…these are the countries I plan to incorporate into this mod:
1. PLAYABLE PIRATES – Of course we’d have to script some events to make things interesting. I plan that the pirates have higher ship techs to make them a fierce competitor of the sea.
2. THE 6TH REICH – Obviously stolen from the Photoshop thread I believe, there would be plenty of humorous flavor events for this. Himmler, international man of mystery rar!
3. WHITE NINJAS! – Protectors of all that is goody goody.
4. BLACK NINJAS! – Obvious rivals to the White Ninja.
5. THE ALMIGHTY WEEN – I don’t know of any copyright restrictions concerning pictures (for those ignorant of the ALMIGHTY GREATNESS OF WEEN, check out www.ween.com) the government’s cabinet will be composed of only the Boognish, Dean, and Gene Ween. ALL HAIL THE BOOGNISH!
6. Coalition of Raging Fetuses – A country controlled by a total mad man bent on destroying all non foetal. Entire cabinet is composed of fetuses.
7. The United Front of River Dancers – An ancient rival of the UFMHD, is considered to have the most elegant infantry in the land.
8. The United Front of Mexican Hat Dancers – Ancient rivals of the URRD, scares their enemies into submission with their weird hats and ‘unholy’ water.
9. Nation of Peace – A lovely group of tree huggers that are penalized if their manpower is too low (meaning troop building). Purposely made to be a total push over.
Of course many these can be scrapped for bigger and better ideas, although the ninjas, fetuses, Pirates, and the 6th Reich are my favorites.
However I am having troubles picking out a proper continent for this to take place in, I was thinking the U.S.’s mainland would be a perfect spot. I’m also having troubles converting land provs into ocean ones, I imagined an island…maybe someone could assist me or show me a work around so the game won’t crash when loading or after day 1?
I REALLY need help with the graphics, as I’m graphically inept. Also, is it possible to assign different spites for different countries? I think actually ninjas, pirates, fetuses, and the such walking about the map would be quite…awesome.
