They left Lewis & Clark (and others like McKenzie & Thompson) out of EU2 due to PTI - so it is not surprising that others should be left out.:)

That they found it isn't exactly important since it is hardly used even now.

Just wondering if this format allows for border adjustments due to the overlay?
Looks good though:)

Could be. Some commented on the lack of rivers. Perhaps borders, rivers, terrain etc are easily modded by the players. Would be fantastic if it was possible!

Although I can imagine there will be heated debates in the beta forum! :D

Yes, it isn't very useful as a waterway. But explorers should/could give international prestige and also add some chrome to the game. It certainly isn't any game-breaker, but I can't see why it should be left out either.:)

There are rivers: The Göta Älv is represented by a blue line - unless it is the Göta Canal.

I don't think the map is quite finished yet.

re

One cool thing would be to show the industrialization on the map say the forests slowly start to dissappear in some ares the ground gets a bit darker you can see railways and smoke from cities, it would be more realistic, visual and just fricking awesome!
what do you think?

and an overlay would be cool to but how would you know which province was which like for the numbering? it would cause some problems i thinks if they use current system of provinces. but it would be great, then i could finally make hexes and have a realistic grand strategy game yay... hoppsan hejsan!

Now I know some people will think I'm trolling or being over-critical, but I'm just worried that the PE maps get uglier by the game. The EU2 map was an improvement over the EU map, but HoI looks really ugly, and yet HoI looks really cool compared to this one.

Now I realise that the look of the game shouldn't be what we focus on, but a nice map shouldn't be considered optional, esp. since we'll be using it for hours and hours of gaming.

Am I the only one here that LIKED the HoI map.... I loved the dotted line borders on the two closest views... I thought it was a good concept for the game design....
