Looks great! A lot of provs, that's also very nice. Italy's number of provs is already huge, I pitty the player who'll play Russia (like me! ).
But all in all it looks great. All those stats and everything. Gives a great authentic feel to "Vicky". Me want now, gimme, gimme, gimme!

Not only does the map look better, it also seems that Italy has a lot more provinces than it did in EU2, which is a definite plus (down with one prov minors!
). The graphs are a great idea, I think they could be a big step up from DP sliders. I just hope that they aren't as easy to push around as DP sliders- perhaps you won't always succeed in influencing the population, and they would be affected not just by what territory you conquer, but also by your economic, domestic, and diplomatic policies?

Looks great, although I trust the pie charts and borders will be spruced up a bit before release, as the former don't really look period at the moment and the borders are a bit hard to distinguish. At such an early stage however I must say it looks fantastic.
Hopefully not for military purposes... have you read the screenie discussion thread? One of the proposed ideas on that thread is a different province scheme for military and economic maps so that Russian administrative regions would be larger than Italian (so as not to drive the player nuts), but military provinces would be of similar size (to make for more realistic combat).
No, lets hope that Russian provinces are the same size as Italian ones. This way when you want to build the Trans-Siberian Railroad it takes you as much time to click on every province from Moscow to Vladivostock as it took to actually build the thing. Could anyone ask for more realism than that?
