I'd love to see generals killed in battle more often... if there can't be a moddable modifier to the health parameter during battle perhaps it can be managed by event.
Something similar would include the slow decrease of esteem for a man who's ambitious and wants to be in charge of something but is never given a title. That increases chances of leaving the clan, helps the "invite to join" feature and further adds depth to the management of the clan which seems rather static.

There are battle events for generals in the game right now. I don't know how many, or how many different triggers they may have besides what I've experienced when I had an army wiped out.

Cool stuff, need more for many facets. :)

It's just that it seems rather ahistoric to have armies wiped out and all generals surviving.
If we consider there's a leader with each regiment, if that regiment is wiped out there should be a high chance of its general being killed.
Half of such value to give to the Daisho himself, he also would die in battle rather often but ... less often according to his rank because most of the great generals we came to know, seldom threw themselves in the fray. On the other hand, you may think of this chance to be in part because of combat itself, in the other part because of seppuku.

Say, you have 1 leader of the army and you can see the characters leading each regiment. I've never seen any of them or the general himself dead in battle ... and I get wiped out quite often :)

Yes, this is more or less similar to the education events in Crusader Kings. I have tried to create such an event, but no success.
Furthermore, there is no setting message option for events. The player doesn't notice what happens by children or wives except their death and birth.

While having a chance for generals being killed is a good idea, it should probably wait until the replacement courtier code is fixed and working. Otherwise, it could be difficult having any courtiers at all much less ministers.

Courtier could be sent back home, injured or not. You don't necessarily have to die in combat but the % of this happening should be pretty much higher in case you are defeated in battle AND the army is entirely wiped out.
Theoretically the sorting order for the generals could be modifying this % so that the top general is hard to get killed while the lower ones are, if your army is ENTIRELY wiped out.

It may not be a popular idea but I would like to see an event series which has to do with army delays.

'The army of whoever has been struck by inclement weather'
a) 'Whatever' - Army delayed by 30 days
b) 'Force march' - Army arrives on time but suffers 5% attrition
c) 'Send some porters' - pay 25 gold, army arrives on time

Or something like that. I'm sure I won't be happy when it fires for me but the AI will get it as well. It would make campaigns somewhat more interesting/unpredictable and add some realism to travel times.

Hope the dev's at least consider this.

Another interesting option is the marriage proposal... if the AI doesn't actively seek you for marriage and friendship, you may be the target of an event of this kind.
Random courtier vs random courtier. If you accept + friendship if you refuse = insult.

I'm thinking of something like defection to another clan or adoption, again, random, minimal chances but these things should all actually be in the game for active AI actions not random events but a very small % will make it appear so. :)
