When I preordered on Gamersgate, I saw the DLC available separately... but I just looked again now, and no products are coming up. While it doesn't affect me personally, I was under the impression the DLC would be available for anybody and the preorders just got it bundled for free. Be disappointing if that's not the case.

OH! Does the Steam version of CK2 have an in-game store? Check there. I bet you'll find it.

I am sure they'll show up again at some point...

I can't seem to find a relevant thread, so I'll ask here: Does the Mongol DLC apply new faces to all steppe peoples, or only mongols? Because the Cumans in my game are looking like Arabs despite having the Mongol DLC installed.

Its just mongols, turks look like arabs which if its binary is the best of the two in my mind, if you want to test if its working switch to the later start dates and look around to see if anyone looks different

Sure, it's almost certainly moddable. But read the Mongol DLC description. The DLC adds thousands of portraits. Now go read developer diary #7. How many dozens of hours do you think it will take you to make that many portraits yourself?

It is few variations of noses, eyes, hair, etc. that gives potential amount of thousands combinations - not thousands of unique portraits. ;) Single modder could do the same set in say 20 hours of work time, although faces are difficult to make and I doubt modders would replicate Mongol faces DLC with similar quality. Clothes, hair, headgear and other portrait elements on the other hand are, and would be modded. However, since paradox decided to hide modding forums for casual players this time around, restricting it to small percent who bothered to register on the forums and then register game, I'm sure these paid DLCs would sell. It is even more apparent with 'Dynastic CoAs' DLC - it requires almost no skills or huge amounts of time to mod such a thing.
