As the title indicates, is it possible to post and feature a Discord server invite in our modding sub-forum thread(s)?

Rule 7 inhibits this implicitly (ie. "You will not post a link to an external website or forum without prior approval of an Administrator. (Sites with no user interaction (that only host media are okay, as long as that media meets and obeys all other rules) " ), but I've seen instances of discord server links being posted here and there.

We were hoping to improve our modding-team coordination (esp. with bug reports and the like) by using a discord server to supplement the forums (esp. since there tends to be latency when discussing some matters over the forums, whereas real-time exchange would sometimes be more helpful). However, I'm worried just posting a discord server invite link in our sub-forum might cause unintended trouble, so I'd like to ask for explicit approval/permission from an admin/moderator just to be safe.

I can't answer your question as I don't know if it is allowed or not, but otherwise if it is not, one option I would recommend which we use for the development of WtWSMS, which I'm involved with, as well as by other mods, is to have a closed group directly here on the forums. It allows for having a normal forum in the same place as the rest of the discussions, rather than having to navigate through different sites, while keeping it closed to non-developers. It is not in real-time though.
