Is there ever a circumstance where it is simply better to disband an army rather than keep fighting?
I have been routed by the enemy army, I have basically 0% organization and as I retreat into the next province the enemy army is chasing me so I will have to re-engage with them shortly.
It seems inevitable that I will lose the next battle, and perhaps what's left of the whole army will be killed.
At this point can I just disband the army? That way I can avoid giving the enemy free war score and also perhaps I can save my generals? If my army all dies I presume my generals die with them.
Once the army has been disbanded (this would be happening in an ally's province just before the next battle with the enemy occurs), will I be able to build a new army of a similar size (i.e. do the disbanded units simply go back into my total manpower that can be used for recruiting a new army?)
