I realize this has been mentioned in several other threads, but seeing as how the developers visit these forums I do hope they see this and understand how frustrated my friends and I are.
Majesty 2 was advertised as a successor to a game with a unique style of cooperative skirmish play versus AI monsters. The advertising for Majesty 2specifically stated an awareness of the different types of multiplayer experiences, and cooperative play was one of them. Then to see the game released without any of those traits - is disheartening.
I realize that the PR-spin is "Well, 2v1 online multiplayer is you and a friend cooperatively ganging up on someone else." But that is just pathetic, and I find it hard to believe a company trusted to carry on the fun memory of a classic has the gall to disrespect its customers by using tricky wordplay to their advantage.
Until such a time as additional means of playing together with skirmish missions become available, my friends and I will be passing on this game. Majesty 1 is still fun, and I am hopeful the future will see an expansion adding what was originally promised.
Thank you for considering the addition of Skirmish and true Multiplayer cooperative play versus an AI. Not only will you sell more copies when you do, but many of us that are let down will get a fun weekend out of it
