Ethiopia is probably played a lot because of its high difficulty. People like a challenge. Not surprised. If they actually accurately modelled the different shaped faces of the two different peoples it'd be twice as much work. Ethiopia would also have to be one of the least played countries... especially concidering it's difficulty.
The question also has to be asked, even if this dlc got a decent number of sales... how many people actually bought it for it's sake and how many bought it to be a completionist. So far with at least one dlc I fall into the second category and it'll probably be the same way with this one (as soon as I'm able to make purchases online again in a couple of days).
Do you have to play a Muslim to listen to the Islamic tunes? If not I am very interested in buying that.I happily bought the pack for it's own sake (as I play in Africa a fair bit, and also just like it for interacting with it) and I'm not a completionist (don't own the dynasty shield packs and I only have the Islamic and Byzantine music DLCs).

What parts of this file looks like:You do, technically, but what music plays is controlled by an easily modifiable text file so you can just put it (or any other music you like) on regular rotation.
Hello y'all. Just gonna give you our five cents about this, and try to explain why we did what we did and what kind of limits we have. "The face guy" actually did his homework on this one, and researched faces, culture and stuff like facepaint etc for several days to make this one the best face pack yet : )
Unfortunately, as you all probably know by now (seeing as you're all hardcore CKII-players, by the sound of things in this forum xD), CKII is a game which combines an almost infinite amount of cultures, people, and histoical events which might change the way countries evolve and what people look and who rules where, and so on. Even though we knew that Northen Africans and Eastern africans from the horn etc looks a bit different, we had to go with a generic look that suited them all "good enough". It's better that the africans in general look like africans, than arabs, if you know what I mean : ) If you're in a position where you have to choose one look to go with, this is probably the best one for everyone : )
Not saying it's impossible this might be fixed in the future, but for now, I guess you have to make do with the african faces you got this time ;P
We're graphics people though, so we're always for more graphics![]()
Fair call, I'll be back in this thread in 3-4 days then, original post will get edited.Buy the DLC, before you talk about it like that, the quality is not in how 4 specially picked portraits look like, but how the whole package work - and when most Africans start to look like those 4 portraits over and over again, thats where we think if this is really worth the money...
Haha, yeah, in sweden, that's the price of a can of Coke xD I remember the good old days, when a "DLC-pack" to the original Street Fighter II called Street Fighter II Turbo, cost about 121 USD in Sweden xDIt is also only 2 dollars.
I can't help with/confirm this in any way since I'm not a tech guy, but someone mentioned this in an earlier thread and people kept saying that might be a bug, since there are actually a lot of different looking faces and ages etc in the pack : O Someone also said this had been a problem with previous versions too, so you might wanna check that : )Buy the DLC, before you talk about it like that, the quality is not in how 4 specially picked portraits look like, but how the whole package work - and when most Africans start to look like those 4 portraits over and over again, thats where we think if this is really worth the money...

So you suggest that I should delete, and reinstall the DLC?
Well, it can never hurt to try... Would be an amazing surprise if there is actually more than what we have seen so far...
Otherwise we just have very different opinions on whats "a lot"
Thanks...
