Disappearing Army

Hello there,

I have an unusual thing happening in my game, and I hope some bright boffin out there can help me.

I always ally with Nationalist Spain, who inherit a rather large army after the civil war. They always keep hold of these units UNTIL I go to war, at which point 75% of this great army will simply evaporate!

Is there a value somewhere that I can change to stop the proud warriors dropping their weapons and heading for their homes?

They are probably being redeployed.
As a test, you can wait until you notice them vanishing, save, reload as Spain and check to see where they are.
