I have started playing Darkest hour again but as i play the game i have noticed that my tech teams start to disappear randomly. Anybody else notice this and can i get some suggestions as to what is happening?

I have only played standard HOI2-Doomsday-Armageddon, but I have a question that MIGHT be relevant.
Have you annexed a lot of countries, with the "tech team" takeover turned on?
In HOI2-D-A there seems to be an unofficial and undocumented limit to the number of tech teams you can have, so some, particularly Danish ones for some reason, just never seem to show up, or "fall off the end of the list."
If you've captured a lot of tech teams, that might be affecting your list of available tech teams somehow.
I don't know if this is part of the answer, but it might be worth looking at.
