Disabled Gamer & Zoom Function

I just started playing Stellaris and I really enjoy it, but I have a problem with the zoom function. I have a physical disability and I can't use the mousewheel to zoom in and out (I play with a headmouse and on-screen keyboard). I tried setting up a script in AutoHotKey to bind the zoom function to the PgUp and PgDn keys. Here's the script:

PgUp::WheelUp
PgDn::WheelDown

But when I press these keys on my on-screen keyboard, nothing happens. I can issue all other keyboard commands without problems. Is my script incorrect? I really appreciate any help you can offer. I really want to experience the full visual splendor of the game. Thanks.

I know there is no keystroke to zoom in this game, unlike say EU4 or CK2, which I agree is an oversight. A thread in the Suggestions forum would be appropriate I think.

For your present problem though, perhaps the good folks in the User Mods forum can help?
