Hello guys,
Since I started the city, Im constantly fighting a dirty water problem (making my citizens sick), no matter how I set up water draining pipe and waste water disposal...

Im attaching a screen for you so you can take a look, maybe Im overlooking something important (red arrow signalizes the way the river flows). Also started using Water Treatment Plant which should reduce the pollution by 85% but doesnt look like it does.

I have it set up like this also on the other side of town, and yet still like 30% of the city is sick of drinking dirty water.. Tryed to minimize the threat by using water towers but their impact is minimal and too expensive.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Also if you replace all your waste water pumps with water treatment plants you will see an effect. Your usual waste water pumps still produce 100% polluted water. Thats why you probably don't see much of an impact.

Maybe your poopwater flows into your freshwaterpumps. You sould swap your pumps position.
as you can see, poopwater is being excreted to the river downstream relative to water treatment plant, so I dont get how would it drain dirty water? I drain it before the poopwater flows to river. I will definitely check those water towers, but I feel that source of the problem must be somewhere around water treatment plant/poopwater disposal or maybe sewage? Do I have those wrong? if nothing else, I will try to switch their positions just for fun, and see if entire city will empoison :D

As I don't see any freshwater pumps on your picture I can not really tell. The water treatment works as a replacement for the disposal pumps. They just produce less pollution.

Water treatment plants are exactly the same as sewage pipes except their capacity/cost and the fact that the water they pump out is less polluted than the water the drains put out.they do nothing to affect the sewage being put out by your drains, that will still be polluted. They also don't provide the city with water. Water pumps and water towers provide water to your city. If those (the water pumps) are downstream of your sewage outflow (drains or treatment plants) then they will provide dirty poop water to your citizens. If water towers are placed on polluted land (from industry) they will also provide dirty water. Your screenshot does not show the placement of your water pumps. I think you misunderstand the function of the water treatment plant.

Top right corner, that blue pillar going up denotes a water source, and since it is land it must be water tower. Check whether it is not polluted by the ground pollution. And get rid of those sewage pumps, you only need the treatment plant.

Also, may I ask why do you say you have set it up exactly like this on the other side of town? That is not needed at all, one source and one disposal area is enough. Just connect everything you need. As long as pressure in pipes is not a thing this will be enough.
