Directory for an already installed game in the paradox launcher

I am trying to link my games to the paradox launcher. They are already installed and to link it I need to select a directory but I can't understand what file location to select. It just says "Game already installed? Select directory" but I don't understand what file location to select. The games are installed from steam on an external drive (hard drive).

That sounds like you are running our launcher in standalone mode, which is meant for games bought from us (not Steam or elsewhere) for not Steam users.

None of the games I see under your name here will work in the launcher run in that mode. You need to run them from the Steam PLAY button only.
