Direct Pu's?

Hello,
i have a marriage with Russia and they king is 60 Years old, when they king dies how high is the chance of a direct Pu?

if it saying "noble from xxx" then it means he is gonna get dynasty of most powerful nation he is married. if it says your king gonna rule then you gonna get union

Need more information. For starters: Do they have no heir, or an heir with a weak claim? Do you have, or did you invoke, the Claim Throne option? What is your prestige level vis-a-vis Russia's prestige? What does it say about succession when you mouse-hover over the existing ruler's name?

heh.... no one is sure Many claims its prestige many says it proved it has nothing to do with prestige many says its luck based many says many things XD

but! Usually with very high chance first a noble from your dynasty takes place before setting union
after that if same thing happen its ALLWAYS a union
you can force union if they get noble from your dynasty while they dont have heir if you claim throne and dow them wich will damage trust and cause massive relation damage.

They have no heir and -80 Prestige against 80 Prestige when i hover over the rulers name its says a noble will take place. The Problem is why i need a direct Union is, that my Marriage is with Tscherkessien they have a PU with Russia so i want to take both but before i can force the PU i think Russia will comming free, so i cant change that a noble will take place?

So Circassia has a PU over Russia and you have an RM with Circassia, but are afraid that Circassia will lose its PU over Russia before you can get a PU over Circassia?

As far as I know, you can't get a PU over another nation which already has a PU. Thus as Circassia has a PU over Russia, you can't get Circassia in a PU.

You can't get a personal union over a nation that has a personal union on a monarch's death. You can use Claim Throne and force it through war.

Also a couple of events let you get a personal union over a country with a personal union, like Castile over Aragon. In Poland's case I think it's possible to get a free Claim Throne CB if someone of your dynasty takes their throne and they are an elective monarchy.

wait... you cant ever form union over poland if they took union with lithuania and get elective monarchy... are you not using dlc or someting?

You can, they change government later on though. Either to a republic or to a non-elective monarchy. It used to be to an Absolute Monarchy but they removed it, not sure what it goes to now- but they have a civil war. Monarchy vs the Sejm essentially.

He didn't get it on monarch death, that's for sure though. It's also unlikely Poland didn't form the Commonwealth unless Lithuania got too big, by the time the civil war happens, you're usually the Commonwealth.


Also OP: You won't be able to PU Russia. You have no RM with them either, unless you had one before they got PU'd as they can stay around for some time, maybe that only applies to the person who PU'd Russia-but this Marriage will not gain you anything.

If you can't PU Circassia through a Claim Throne war- then you won't be able to get both them and Russia in a PU. It will have to be done separately, and you'll have to wait for Russia to be independent then try get on their throne.

To the Poland thing i didnt had Res Publica and yes i claimed their throne through war.

Okay, maybe im lucky and russia waits with their independence long enough
