Hi guys

I have some questions about diplomacy the strategy im imagining for my first game.

1) will you be able to sudenly break non agression pact and suprise attack. I believe it will be possible, since this was what germany did, but im think its worth asking.

If basktabing is possible, non aggression pacts will have some mechanism to enforce then or make it a little harder for break (for instance a nation leader would need some requeired ammount of political power in order to break a non agression pact)

2) Will it be possible to buy neutrality of some country (via lend and lease) or prevent it to join a enemy faction ?

3) as a non faction leader - can i invite a nation to join the faction?

4) Inter-factions diplomacy, in case I create a fictional faction.

Im asking this because the strategy i plan to use as italy.

1) Go facist and join Axis (but latter the IRL if possible)
2) Convice UK I wont go to war via some diplomatic deal in hope they keep the med with little naval defenses.
If possible (by game rules) i would like a noin-aggression pact or that UK lend and lease me in exchange for my neutrality promisse
3) befriend spain and get military access. Land troops next to Gilbratar when the time comes
4) Build up navy and amphibious force for a year and half later the real life
5) join the axis, bring spain with me, backstab and DoW UK
6) Attack Gilbaltrar and amphibious assault as close of Suez as possible (Alexandria maybe) to quikly close the Med
7) If 5 not possible (in game) create my faction, bring spain to it (and anyone whos willing to join, but Portugal) and try to have good relations and coordinate with the Axis as much as possible (similar how allies and commiterm IRL, they werent allied but worked toghter when convenient)

1. Yes, but rules apply, cannot be broken in *6 months-12 months?* and in order to break it before it expires requires you to have X% of your troops on their border vs. Y% of theirs.
2. You can influence using political power and attempt a coup if support is high enough but you'll need to supply the equipement if it breaks out into a Civil War.
3. Yes, need to follow a certain Focus Tree path if a Minor
4. Don't know what that means but in case see answer 3, so yes there would be inter faction diplomacy though not much diplomacy going on in a HOI game besides ones weighed down with lead

By factions diplomacy i ask if factions can negotiate and make diplomatic deals in block.

IRL the allies and commitern were not allies per se, but they colaborated in order to defeat a common enemy, the axis.

Given we can create custon factions, could my fictional faction (for instance Italy + Spain + Facist Greece) try to make diplomatic deals with the axis faction, get better trade deals with its members, and collaborated against common foe, for instance, the western allies faction.

Of course since in this scnerario, much like allies and commitern in real life, after the the war is over against the western allies, my italian fictional faction and the axis could go to war, for instance, to lberate Austria.
