Im playing as Prussia at the moment.
I have turned it into the nicest social democracy in the world.
I have maxed out social spending and stuff. Is this why I have
a 0.01 modifier for my DI. At the moment Im getting less than one point a year so Im restricted in what I can do. I have 5000 prestiege so I think its a bit mean giving me only one little point every year!

I had the same problem with Sweden, the better my internal affairs went, the less I could do abroad. Seems a bit strange to me...

There was a time when democracy was frowned upon on.

Well, many of the other nations of the world were democracies too, so that makes no sense.

Most of my lost DI's were because of an event about "merit being the guiding principle" or something like that. I had several of that event, giving me -20% DI efficiency every time.
The worst part was that the button on the event panel said "Great!"... I just wondered what's so great with it.

Most of them were not democracies in the full meaning of the word.
But we can go on and debate this feature for ever...:) Bottmoline is still, in my view, that it is good that there are at least some disadvantages of becoming a social democracy.

I meant in the game most of the other nations were democracies too, why would they frown on me because I'm a democracy?
