I am playing a 1.8 Byz game and I noticed it when I was annexing Athens. It was the base +1, with no bonus for same culture (Greek) or Religion (no the province was Orth, but i dont remember if Athens starts as Catholic). Either way I was like whatever, i have the time and the spare diplomat. but no i ave finished returning all of Bulgaria's cores and am ready to dip annex. I know they dont have the same culture, but they deff have the same religion and i am not getting the bonus. I also have a +2 dip rep advisor and +2 dip rep from Diplomacy Ideas and they arnt showing up either.
Is it just a display thing cause it says the annex will take 10 years instead of, well not 10 years. Any thoughts.
