How difficult will each country be to play? This is the 'unofficial' list based upon speculation and what I've read.
1) USA
They're big, they're bad. Resources, population, size, isolation. Do what you will, you're gonna win either way. It's just by how much you'll win by and how soon that's in question.
2) USSR
Like the USA, you're big and bad. Overwhelm your enemies with your size and numbers. Just watch out for Germany getting too many advantages over you.
3) Italy
Sit tight in the Mediterranean. No one is gonna come and mess with you.
Africa is your playground.
4) Britain
Not much to worry about around the world... sit on your island and wait for the USA and USSR to do your dirty work. Just don't get your navy sunk, and let those bombers fly.
5) Germany
Good industry and good techs. Just don't mess with too many guys, and watch out for the USA.
6) Japan
You've got a lot of ground to cover, and China is gonna take a lot of resources and manpower to take care of. USA will be a pain to deal with when the inevitable arrives.
7) France
Face it. You've got an ever-strengthening major to your east. It's only a matter of time before they invade, and when they do, they'll be stronger. Good luck.
