What difficulty and AI agressivity levels do you usually play with?

I've read your various posts and most of you seems to play world conquest games, so I'm curious about how difficult you enjoy the game to be.

I usually play in difficult mode, with normal agressivity (but I'm thinking about rising agressivity one level up, because I find the AI too sleepy sometimes).

I've only played a few times (one learning experience, quit part way through; one complete game; now into another). I just leave the settings at normal except for the speed, although that doesn't help when the CPU is trying to process a BB war or two.

Normal and normal. When I first played Spain it was way to easy, too much like a tutorial. So I played Spain again at the highest settings. I didn't see a difference. Since I'm playing my way down to the minor nations I'm leaving it at normal levels for now. Though I wish I could speed it up.....like 5 years a minute.

"furious" makes them a bit tooo trigger happy

I totally agree. I play IGC very hard/aggressive, low taxation (modified to give a more severe penalty for low stability)

I usually play furious at the beginning and every 75 years or so, turn the aggression down a notch. The ai has this thing about Dow'ing you when they only have one province, 10k men and your main army of 120k commanded by Frederick the Great is sitting on their border. The lower aggression levels tend to keep ai from making many of the stupid wars it makes.

EDIT: This is slightly off topic, but...I just noticed that this was my 200th post and it only took me 2 years to get it!!! :D

another vote for IGC with very hard / normal.

Setting AI aggresiveness to high doesn't allow the AI to invest enough in tech increases, and the player slowly gains an indeserved tech level advantage.

I do hard/agressive.

Never gone higher than that because I have felt that that is a good level for me to have the most fun.
