Since the 2.0.1 patch, I have a different checksum than other players (2f30 instead of 0f9c) so I can't join multiplayer games.
I'm on Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS.
I have the right checksum when I launch the game on Windows.
I am not in debug mode and I have already done the following to try getting the right checksum:
  • opt out of betas
  • verify the integrity of steam files and reinstall the game
  • rename the local Imperator directory (the one containing the saves, mods, settings and all)
  • disable, uninstall and create a playset without mods
  • disable dlc's
Is there anything else I can try to get the right checksum ?

Also, I don't know if it's linked to my problem but the paradox launcher on Windows is different from the one on Ubuntu.

FYI your 2021.1 launcher looks exactly like mine on Linux. Unfortunately mine is a VM and can't actually run the game so i can't check the checksum there. What do you see in the game's system.log file? Mine says
Exe Git Version: release/2.0.1 : 3bc97db5ed

That seems fine then. It can only be debug mode, mods in use or a corrupted installation really.

If there are any other Linux users reading this, what checksum are you seeing please?

I fixed it ! :)

I manually deleted the steam local files that remained after having uninstalled the game, renamed my Paradox folder (the one in ~/.local/share/Paradox Interactive) and deleted the ~/.paradoxlauncher directory.

Sorry I thought you'd done that already - it's part of my standard clean reinstall instructions.

That means BTW that you had a corrupted install, or a mod had installed files into the vanilla game folder, which it should never do.
