It would be nice to see some general bullets about what changes when the difficulty increases. I assume things are changing like:

*frequency and power level of the units trained
*frequency and power level of spells researched
*selection of spells cast
*whether or not AI will cast (or even research) Unity
*tendency to offer peace or alliance
*general aggressiveness of AI
*quality of spoils of war (I'm thinking uber-units that I find early on)

Unless, of course, they don't change. I wouldn't know, as I started on Casual to get the hang of things and I'm about to try Normal.

Guess I should add this to the suggestion thread.

In the meantime, does anybody have anecdotal evidence about the kinds of things the AI will and will not do based on the difficulty levels?

For example, I'm pretty sure the AI won't cast Unity on Casual or Easy (for whatever reason, maybe they just never finish the research). o they cast it on Normal mode?

I'm pretty sure on Impossible they get a small bonus to casting time. I once saw an AI cast both a city blessing spell and a firestorm in one turn. Also, the numerous times I've been counterspelled and still recieved a firestorm after.
