bloomberg went into exile for one year to capri but he remained a fieldmarshal of the german army but he did not get a post during the war.
fritsch was rehabilitated but he did not get back his post. he was named cornel-in-chief of his old regiment. getting no command of its own he went to war with his old regiment (to seek his death?).
so i would say it is okay that both remain in the leader pool because they were still officers. that hitler did not appoint them is another problem.

I always think the default setting of leader.txt does a disservice to Fritsch's legacy. In fond remembrance of his bravery in the battlefield, I've decide to take out the "old guard" trait from him. :cool:

Have not been able to play new patch yet, but I started it up and got a checksum of CIKU with it on 204f. The new sub techs were there for positioning and moral.

With 2.04f and DI I get the same checksum. About the supply problem, I don´t know if it´s a DI problem or a vanilla problem, because it was 2 or 3 months ago the last time I played vanilla. Perhaps it was a bug introduced in the 2.04d patch, or perhaps not, however, I don´t see many people here saying a word about it, is anybody else experiencing astronomical (let´s say, more than 80 or 90 IC dedicated to it) supply expenditure?, because it´s quite of a serious bug.

PS. I started a new game with the last beta patch (2.04f AND 1.01 beta) installed. However, I am still in 1937, and problems began last time when invading Poland (and they went partially away when Poland went GiE), so I can´t upload a savegame now, because now there aren´t any supply problems, but I´ll do as soon as I find the problem again.

How do you get China to join Axis? I can invite them, but they always decline in all my games ("Impossible").

You need to help them enough, that way you will have a decision allowing you to invite them.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Download the 1.01 Beta patch from the link above (thanks to Derkb for the server)

2. Extract the patch in your HOI3 directory
2.a STEAM: you need to go to your steam installation and then look for \Steam\steamapps\common\hearts of iron 3
2.b DON'T INSTALL THE PATCH IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING! THE DLC IS NOT BROKEN WITHOUT THE PATCH AND YOU CAN WAIT FOR AN OFFICIAL ONE TO COME IN A FEW WEEKS


3. Overwrite when asked (it will only overwrite the DLC files, don't worry)

4. Launch the DLC like you always did, it is successfully patched.

5. You can check if the patch works by going to the naval doctrine technology tab, see the submarine positionning or morale tech and if coastal, medium and long range submarines are included the patch is installed. :)

Along with the official patch (not the beta one), a mini-mod adding 5 SS units (infantry, mot, mech, panzer, kav) will be available.

I just wanted to report that I haven't had any issues with the DLC or beta patch for it after installation. Very nice DLC/patch! The new events are exciting and I always have to put in some thought to each decision I make with them. Oh and I loved getting the Austrian units again, something we lost in HoI 3 vanilla.

I'm getting a checksum of NYIR. I'm running 2.04f with the DI:G 1.01 beta. Now, I do have Common Weapons and several sprite packs in the HoI folder. Could that account for the checksum difference?

I've not noticed and problems with play, but I'm only up to early February 1936.

Possible Bugs:
I spotted a possible new bug with the patch. I started a new game and I got the Unleash the UBoats event on January 2nd or 3rd. On January 1st I had started to research the long range subs hull technology. The long range seub conning tower was grey out and it said I need some long range flag to be set. It is now May 1937 and the tech is still not available as its greyed out. When is this flag supposed to be set so I can research the 1934 long range sub conning towers?

I got my relationship with Romania up over 100 by June 1936 and the strategic effect tab appeared showing a 25% increase to fuel and oil. But it appears the actual numbers never changed. It is really hard to see the exact numbers because they change so often. But oil went from 13.27 to 13.32 after the event and fuel changed from 14.71 to 14.72 the next day. After that fuel went red for a day and both fluctuated. Does this effect appear in the tooltips? If is does then I don't see it there.

Observations:
Nat Spain won before the end of 1936. Adding leadership to service laws really helped with having enough leaders for research. In October 1937 I received the Goering for armaments minister decision. I decided against puttin him in the spot. I did try testing to see if I appointed him there would the decsion come back and it did not. This may be WAD. If WAD and you go against Goering is this the only decision/event that it impacts, or are there others?

The names of the planes have changed, but still the submarines have the same skin on the map. I think U-II should get the U-II skin from my "German Spritepack 2".

DI:G doesn't support spritepacks.

It is really hard to see the exact numbers because they change so often. But oil went from 13.27 to 13.32 after the event and fuel changed from 14.71 to 14.72 the next day. After that fuel went red for a day and both fluctuated. Does this effect appear in the tooltips? If is does then I don't see it there.

Observations:
Nat Spain won before the end of 1936. Adding leadership to service laws really helped with having enough leaders for research. In October 1937 I received the Goering for armaments minister decision. I decided against puttin him in the spot. I did try testing to see if I appointed him there would the decsion come back and it did not. This may be WAD. If WAD and you go against Goering is this the only decision/event that it impacts, or are there others?

In my game I was in Nov 1939 and the Long U boat option is still greyed out. I think it's most likely a bug but I havne't look into the txt file.

I can finaly play this DLC! It looks very good! I never solved the problem with GG though, so I bought it again from Impulse. But it's ok since it didn't cost that much.

I can confirm this bug.

EDIT: Another - bug or not I am not sure. You can't move the Goering Fallschirmjäger Regiment, I think you know that. And that was cool when it came as a unique unit spawned in Berlin, but I think now that you can assign it to any unit anyway it should be able to move. For example I accidentally placed it in my theatre HQ, and now its basically useless. Well, not basically. It IS useless.

Yep there is a bug with the long range sub AA. It will be fixed thanks for spotting (how stupid I am, I change one rule and forgot the other).

I don't know what you are talking about.
Remove the leader and try to scind the unit?

Single brigades can't have leader assigned, so maybe this is why you can't scind it?
