I would be happy to pay for a DI:G for TFH. Hell, I'll buy it again even if it's ported for free. So please make it happen!

My problem is that I've just downloaded the Collection and Their Finest Hour from Steam (it's the first time I've ever played any of the series). I've spent the last 5 hours trying to get DIG to work with no joy. I get the File exception in discfile line 431. Copying the -mod Dies_irae_Gotterdammerung line into launch options doesn't work for me (despite lots of people claiming it does). I've tried running it from the ftm-launcer, and found the option to select DIG on there-but it crashes on the loading sprites screen.
I've trawled around and most of the instructions are to do what I'm doing-but it doesn't do anything.
Somebody posted a link to a patch (surely steam would be selling it fully patched?). I've downloaded the 2.06 patch, and tried extracting it to mods, but it makes no difference.
Sorry for sounding like such a noob, but I guess that's what I am! And I suppose I should just get on with playing the other parts of the game-but I really do love the sound of the extra detail for the Germans in DIG, and seeing as I've paid for it (albeit very cheaply in the awesome steam sale), I think I should be able to play it? If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'll be most grateful!

What version is your HoI3 patched to? DI:G 'patched' works with 3.05 or if you have the Beta 3.06 you might try this mod

Also, to play DI:G you have to start the ftm launcher in the game folder and NOT the steam shortcut.
I have 3.05, which it says is the latest version.
I've just tried downloading 2.06 again and extracting it to the DI:G folder as that seems to be the way to fix DI:G in my situation, but it crashes on the "initialising maplogic" part now, giving me the same error code. I can't see any other launcher other than the ftm one that gives me DI:G as an option. Very frustrating-I get the feeling it could be unfixable in the Collection version installed via. steam?
Let me know if it works for you as I think we have the exact same kind of broken-ness!
My problem is I do NOT want to play DI:G. I just want to play TFH as Italy.
Every time I start it up, it tells me that I should be playing as Germany because DI:G is apparently still enabled.

Just use ftm_launcher.exe to play DI:G, and use launcher.exe for TFH.
I've tried that.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I've verified the game cache (using steam). Doesn't matter what launcher I'm in It always opens up loaded with DI:G.

Did you have installed the dlc in the mod map? Not just copy paste over the entire map?
I purchased through Steam, so it followed the default directory. I even deleted all the DI:G files from the MOD folder, and it's still partially loading.

I do not think this MOD should be sold without patch 2.06 as most players have FTM 3.05. The official links are broken and I can only find a private one which keeps getting interuptions. Stars and Stripes no such probem.

I bought this on Gamersgate to help the developpers (I know it is for free in the mods section), but I got a question about TFH: does it update automatically if I wanted to buy it and the Beta version of Dies Irae ends into a post beta version?
Also got some kind of weird situation where I couped the USA as Germany early by using spies and raised the german party there to spectacular levels (+-60% German bund in their politics). I also had Japan in the Allies (maybe a mistake) and they launced tora tora and brought the US into the Allies.
I also was diplomatically influencing the US just to the point that they were almost able to join the AXIS alliance ... All that leadership wasted then? I got a German party led US in the Allies, is that some kind of sick joke ^^?
