Well, giving Poland/Hungary "historical friend" mod at start would be correct from historical point of view, as well as result more expected results, PLC winning more often with TO, and Hungary/Poland more willing to fight Ottomans in the north rather than each other.

It would be less of change in long term, since Poland has 2.5 borders blocked, and there is no great money to make. Muscovy/Ottos have much more options to expand and at some point it will trump.

The general idea is to make AI smarter, player dont pick rivals at random (at least some), but can identifie who is real threat, and who more of the ally.

There could also be an Austrian decision to "free integrate all vassals and PU" at some point in similar way to Poland/Castille. Maybe at later date than 1550

France is on the loose. And this is despite Castille getting inheritance.
Poland lost Moldavia in the first 5 years. Smolensk broke free.
Maybe its confirmation bias, but when you're not involved in the region - Iberia and Poland fail more often then not

The actions of the player, especially in Europe, is a very important factor when it comes to which nations succeeds or not. The performance of Austria has a huge effect on the performance of both France and Poland.

This is my Nagaur game from early September, although Spain lost its northern coast to France they were both blobbing pretty well:
