Since your all so smart tell me, because I've looked thru every setting, how do i get my drones to repair my cable fault, I have 3 of them now and they are going up, and wasting my electricials. I see no way you can do it on a building but there are many things you can't tell them and they seem to headstrong to notice the issues.. just because I started a dome doesn't mean to build it like a mad man and forget all the rest, Like the people that programed the game , please tell me how I can stop my drones from rusing madly to the dome and do the repair work on my CABLES.. by the way I didn't watch them I purposely stopped watching all of them even Paradox... I even told a couple of them to stop releashing all the stuff so earily because I wanted to start from scratch.. and I have.. The only thing that is hard in this game is the cold.. that is very hard.. I know I've failed 3 times in the cold.. but now I find since I started looking for it simple repair work has been ignored, at first I ignored it to, but this time thru I an paying attention to things I've not.. cables fail way way too much. to be so ignored.

excuse me my content is not spam, it's about problems with the game.. I thought it was important enough to come to the site and place it.. I've spent hours attempting to get it fixed!

I'm still on early game, but regarding the cable malfunctions: I think you need a drone with a unit of metal to fix it. So, (i) make sure that the faulty cable is within a dome/drone hub range. If not, you will have to bring the rover that controls drones. (ii) make also sure that there is a metal source/depot within the range of the drone controller source, otherwise you will need to bring also the transporter. And with that, I think the drones will fix the cable quite quick, or at least is what happened to me.

PS: same for pipe leaks, although maybe it requires a different material...

Good luck

Your correct, they did something I consider bad, they use two types of repair selection. That is something I've never encountered ever in a game of this type, and I found out that once you set it your better off to wait there with the menu open. if you select another one and check it the first one comes unchecked. that is not a very good policy in this type of game.. So since I was used to lots of other games I took care of all the issues and nothing got done, So it appears broken and it is a very broken system to use.. because you can't go take care of the O2 snuff you must wait or you chance it not getting repaired. And not only that you have to know which one to use on your building because You need both types one for normal repair and one for starting up a shut down building. And if you use type 2 for the restart you best wait or it may never get done..

I'm sorry, but I totally don't understand what you want to say with your last post.
Two types of repair selection? Menu open?

I never had the problem that a cable fault wasn't repaired, as long as the cable was inside the range of one of the drone controllers. Perhaps you don't have enough drones?
BTW you can stop the drones from bringing resources to a building site when you "turn off" the said building.

Well when you get a building that isn't repaired by the normal method IE you clicked it before but they didn't get to it. you then must click the same repair option for cable. Secondly they've fixed the cable repair so you can now click on 2 or 3 of them at the same time. And if you start up a building that has been off for a while you have to click the cable repair option at the bottom of the building memu or will be delyed in comiing online again.. Since I'm playing on Hard there may be some differences in this.. So the cable repair is also used for building if you have the circumstances for it..

Did you know you forgot to make (or add) a manual?
Did you know there is no proper tutorial either?

Did you know I couldn't make a positive review on Steam because of these 2 important missing items?
Not having a manual should be fixed now. This game is great, but is very difficult without a manual. Don’t be cheap and dumb. Create a manual now, please!

I LOVE this game, but it should have a basic manual and have , for sale, an optional hint guide, either in print or electronically. Certain items are not so easily understandable like the electrostic turbo scrubber. An evolving and updated manual makes excellent reading and review and also clarifies the developers intentions. Please correct ASAP.

If find them .. I don't remember seeing them.. the problem is placed inncorrectly and prior to being built in most cases, like my finger moves before I have it ready and then it is built.. I've not seen the buttons you speak of but I also wasn't really looking for them there.. I will later today.. I did learn there is a salvage tech you have to research and I've not gotten them far yet..
Pause the action before placing buildings. Especially before placing complicated clusters of buildings, like a dome with Oxy, Water, Power, and internals. Also especially before placing anything that requires finicky positioning.

This keeps anything from being started by nearby drones, or even nanobots.

You can always remove a building "blueprint". Click on it. The infopanel pops up on the upper right. The last button will be a Salvage button. If no work has begun on the building yet (you are paused, remember), preliminary building position will always be removed by that button, even if you don't have the Salvage tech yet.

The one exception is cables. Even the planning only "ghost" cables require that you go to the Colony Services build menu (the far left Build category), and select the far right Salvage button to erase cables, or anything else that doesn't seem to have a Salvage option in its building infopanel.
