I am Fezzan and kind of in deadlock diplomatic position (having a terrible military ruler as well doesn't let me do much).

I attacked Imereti so I could vassalize them and then attack Georgia/Circassia and annex land that way, however when I try this, it doesn't let me. Georgia already declared war on Imereti when I attacked them, but I still managed to vassalize. When I did, I was dragged into a war with them and Circassia.

The last time I did this was a few patches ago with Granada, so can someone tell me if I'm doing something wrong or if they changed the way this works?

Your capital is in Africa and you can only core stuff next to your vassal in the same continent. The reason why it worked as Granada is because Granada's capital is in Europe and those provinces next to your vassal are european land.
