I could be wrong but the "background" colour of the galaxy does vary quite a bit from place to place because of nebulae,

And i know that in the past paradox had a minor with colour saturation in their screenshots (like EU4 release screenshots where Great Britain was pink, or Ming being bright yellow) but i don't know if that's still an "issue", just something to consider.
