Did I dream this?

I honestly can't remember if this happened or not. It refers to a previous game and I haven't been able to recreate the occurrence.. Maybe any of you guys have had this.

The situation:
I was playing a game of CKII with a per-existing character, I don't remember the name but for this situation lets say I was playing with Otto von Brunswick, a German.
What happened was, that after years of playing and building up the dynasty, I somehow managed to move my counties to ... say.. England, and after a few generations my character became English.. And so my Dynasty was changed to "of Brunswick", so I was playing as, for example, William of Brunswick.
The culture changed the way my dynasty was called..

I don't know if I dreamt this or not! I can't seem to recreate this so I guess I must have... But if not, that would be awesome!

Can someone shed some light in my darkly lit bedroom and wake me up?

Usually when I start having vivid dreams about a game, it means I'm playing it too much, and stop for a couple of weeks... Maybe you should try that? ^^

IIRC, the dynasty name couldn't change during the course of the game, but it might be that it's actually Duke Otto von Brunswick(underlined: title, bold: personal name), and that von isn't referring to your name but your main title, so in this case the "von" will become "of"

First names certainly change if you change culture, assuming there's an equivalent, I suppose it must be the same for dynasty names, though I admit that

lol! Who knows, he could have gotten one of those special events that still allowed him to have one litter of 9 or so. Don't give up hope, in CK2 miracles can happen! Unless, Paradox fixes all the bugs that is.
