DH lags from too many provinces?

I am playing as Soviet Union, and the game simply lags tremendously.
When paused and moving it moves just like it should of course.
But when unpaused, it lags, even though i am on max speed (which also lags a bit too) the speed is slow.
But especially when i try to move around, it lags a lot.
I'm thinking that it simply might be my laptop.

SPECS:

Intel i7 3630QM 2.4 GHZ
6gb RAM
64 bit OS

What's your OS type?

The most easiest thing that i could say... and i forgot it.
Its win 7. i had win8 and 8.1 before but it was the same.

But i actually never found as good instructions as in the link, i will try them out tomorrow and tell you the results!
It also might be because i suck at searching things.

I'm afraid that workarounds in the link are for issues on later then Windows 7 versions.
Is there such lag on a newly started campaign (1933 scenario for example)?

Nope, as i said, the lag begins when i have too many provinces. For example, playing Soviet Union, USA or simply just conquering SU as Germany makes the game lag.
It was the same problem in win 8.1 and 8.


EDIT: welp, i tried windows XP compatibility and 256 colours, didnt work.
I were simply trying and hoping, but nope. Anyways, i really wouldn't like to play on windowed :/.
I guess i'll have to stick to a little bit of lag


EDIT 2: Okay, i just had to try and make it windowed, so i typed 1 instead of 0 into the video settings
and it seemed to go faster. At least the time went faster, it still lagged however.
But i don't think i have never seen time go that fast oh and the windowed thing didn't work however.
It still went fullscreen, i'll try to make it windowed from the launcher now.

EDIT 3: Now i just got confused and put everything back like it was. I couldn't launch in windowed, because i didn't have 16 bit color depth.
And in the code it reads this: 0 # Display mode: 0 = full screen, 1 = windowed
so i put 1 instead of 0. but is that the actual code or is that just instructions?
oh wait... i think i have to put the 1 on the 0 # and not on the other zero.. KRHM.

EDIT 4: Conclusion: 256 colour and putting 1 on the 0 # helps. but it still isn't windowed mode.
I think i have to put time on very fast because the time is so fast on full speed
or i just could put my settings back like they were

Even though i think i put everything back, except for 256 colours mode, the game seems to run quicker now o_0 or maybe i just never have noticed how fast the time
actually goes when on full speed
So apparently the 256 colour mode helps too. at least a bit
