@Jamor

The Iferyx Amalgamated Fleets used to be one of the Preset Empires up until 2.2, where they disappeared and were replaced with a number of new Preset Empires (Hazuban, Glebsig, Orbis, etc.).

And I kind of miss them.

Now, I do understand that their Corporate Dominion (now Corporate Authority) and Shadow Council civics didn't work together anymore in the new 2.2 build .

But I think I have some ideas that could allow for them to be redone into a new form. Two variants of the idea, actually.

1.). The Iferyx were Egalitarian + Pacifist + Spiritualist in their old incarnation. Considering their spiritualism, and noting that the special "Gospel of the Masses" civic is not represented amongst the preset empires, even though we do have a spiritualist - the Hazuban, who instead use Criminal Heritage), we could transform the Iferyx into a Megachurch and reintroduce them that way. May I suggest the "Iferyx Prosperity Union"?

2.). None of the existing Preset Megacorps (Chinorr, Orbis, Hazbuan) have the Free Traders civic. And I don't think (if I recall right) any of them qualify as a Trade Leauge (the closest they get is with Orbis as peaceful traders, but they're authoritarians). So perhaps the Iferyx could be reintroduced as a Trade League with Free Traders and their original Egalitarian/Pacifist/Spiritualist ethics.

Of course, I understand that the bugs and fixes for 2.2/2.2.4 take priority, but when there's an opportunity, it would be really nice if we could see the Iferyx again.

I actually prefer their very first incarnation as 'Egalitarian, Spiritualist, Xenophobe', which gave them a 'superstitious, paranoid yet independent' culture.

To bring them back, I've given them the 'merchant guilds' civic instead of the old 'corporate dominion' and it seems to work well (plus they keep those shadow council civic which is a big part of their lore'
