First of all, I thank for all of Dev. team. IMO, distance between capital and border is not important than concentration more time to well-quality of Art.
(Art = HOI 3) Because in fact, all capital do not distanced from the border.For instance, there was West Berlin or is Seoul: if north korean force shut their long range artillery, Seoul bombed by it immediately. DMZ and my lovely nation's capital do not distanced. (If cold era developed, Seoul would close to DMZ I think) I understand some friends concern about Warszawa.

Yes it is too close. But this is game, not GPS Navigation. As a user, we have times to mod that situation (Personally I WILL add decision about "country which = DFR" using EU3 way to "Germany" of default game.). Mod itself fun. We shape finally this "Art" as our will and historical fact which we know. (IMO, capital issue would be challangeble and should-overcome fact in actual playing. If Poland win or delay the invader although capital is close, pleasure would be double IMO.)

We should give more time Johan or King or other good officer(?) to put their dream which could be share with our to "Art" wondefully which already wonderful IMO. Then we complete Mayhem project as our will in the basis of fact we know.
(IMO it is possible change country GER->DFR. It will be one of the my great challange.)

Give hand to all DEV. TEAM! :rofl:

Then again, another logical way to look at increases in required devotion to consumer goods is that as you draft people into your army, you are reducing the available manpower supply in the work force.

Therefore, with a shortage of labor, wages increase so it costs more to produce the same amount of goods. Seems logical that way.

First I was like "Wow, that's quite alot of provinces, that should be fun", then I read the thread and realized they were in fact regions, not provinces, which made me go ":eek:".

Yup, there are thousands of provinces. :D

I like:

- Many, many provinces on the map
- Reserve units, not more infinte unit building
- Wrong Romanian flag.

I dislike:
- Map placing of many imporatant locations (I would like if Hamburg would be where Paradox placed it, would spare me 2h everytime I drive there)
- teddy bear
- How infinte unit building was restricted

I would have wished:

Introduce a new province resource: Population:
- Population could produce a certain % (depeding on goverment/total war and mobisisation law) manpower, but can also get depleted.
- Population could grow (depeding on goverment and mobisisation law)
- Population could create resistance/Partisans (the more people the more Resistance can happen).
- Population could replace the cores (Pie charts for Population of the different nations/cultures).
- Population could determine how much Conusmer goods you need, not a certain % of you total IC or how many divisons you have.
- Low Population would limit Factory eff. in that province. No more IC build up in the middle of nowhere.
- Population could make nearly every provinces worth a fight, even if there is no IC or resources.

Problem: Should Strat. Bombers lower Population or would that be banned terror bombing.

Hm, I wonder if the AI will be smart enough to play the game of cold war trics against the human also.

Can you elaborate a little on what routines the AI will be coping with on the level of mobilisation and de-mobilisation.

As Germany I could easely "scare" France - so mobilise and after some time demobilise. Will the AI be smart enough to follow it's own opinion or will it be a standard reacton =

- the AI follows the same patterns from the enemy - so when a demobilisation kicks in, the AI also demobilise,
- the AI keeps up the mobilisation because it doesn't really trust the enemy,
- the AI considers a pre-emptive strike when the enemy demobilises.
