If say Germany was to realease Wallonia:
1. Will releasing Wallonia cuase the French and Dutch GIEX to colapse?

Then say the Allies capture and annex wallonia:
1. Will the provinces go back to the oringinal owners?
2. If the provinces return to orriginal countries will/can Wallonia keep a GIEX in Berlin?

Lastly how would this affect countries that multiple releasable parts that are cores to other countries? (if you see what I am getting at)

Would releasing puppets from conquered territory cause the original country to lose a core on those provinces?

Ok - but take Poland.

A government in exile after the German invasion.

Red Army recovers Poland - can it release a Communist Poland? Will the Government in exile continue?
From the DD:
The government in exile continues to act like an independent country with the condition that it cannot surrender. It will continue to exist until either the whole faction in annihilated or another faction chooses to install a puppet in its territory.

I am confused...
This says that another faction can install a puppet, and due to this the government in exile stops to exist.

But from one of Johan's earlier answers it sounded as if you can't install a puppet as long as a government in exile exists (there can be only one nation).

Can someone please explain this to me?

re 1) only if wallonia is released in all the provinces that the Dutch own, if the logic of previous PI games is followed. Dutch GiEx keeps ownership (but not control) of the non-Wallonian provinces. Dutch will have to defeat Wallonia in war, occupy Wallonian provinces and make peace with Wallonia in order to get them back.
re 2) I guess yes... until Wallonia concludes a peace with the original countries, thus surrendering all of its owned territory.

Just to be clear, if the SU brings Finland Socialism, they will not become a government-in-exile for the Germans or anything correct? That would be really bothersome! Also, if Poland is taken by the SU from GER then will that mean the ability to create a puppet government or will it still be in exile in London?

"Collaborationist government" =/= "create puppet government".

If POL is a GiEx then it cannot be released as a puppet. Just like in hoI2 where you could not release puppets that still exist as countries.

So you can only create a Polish puppet if Poland no longer exists as a country or as a government in exile. It must be a "free" tag.

Stellar. I think I'm going to get a PC just so I can play this when it comes out. That'll mean that my cost for HoI3 is ~$500...but it's still probably worth it.

Anyone want to spec-build a computer for me, that ONLY plays HoI3?

Buy a 2nd hand, a 3-4 old graphic card will handle the game. Otherwise you could do with the cheapest new laptop. That is probably a better alternative.

Czechoslovakia is inherited via event and is not forced to surrender while aligned to a faction during a war. You see?

This is a decision though, right? You don't have to take the Sudetanland...?

They will only become a Government in Exile if they are part of the Axis. So they really really should accept any peace conditions that the Soviets offer in the winter war!

In the continuation war, they can become a government in exile if they are Axis. They can then hope for liberation by Germany.

Also, if Poland is taken by the SU from GER then will that mean the ability to create a puppet government or will it still be in exile in London?
SU will probably get control but not ownership of the provinces. So they could only create a puppet if in fact there are two "Polands" defined in the game, commie Poland and free Poland. And even then, I assume the "free Poland" will stay around as a gov in ex if the USSR does not own the eastern Polish territories. (Which would be fun!! But I guess the M-R pact will give them actual ownership of those provinces.)

But that would mean that the Soviet Union cannot create communist Czechoslovak and Polish puppet states because there are a czechoslovak and polish government in exile in London.

hmm.. no.

there is no czech gov in exile in hoi3.. as they were annexed before the war.

Is there going to be any bonus to a faction leader/ faction members to give equipment to governments in exile?
because unless governments in exile receive unrealistic IC, they shouldn't be able to build tank divisions (as historically the Free France had, although completely supplied by the US), there should be some bonus to make it worth for the leader of the alliance to give for free equipment to governments in exile.

Also, is it possible for some units (mainly navy and air force) to escape and be part of the new government in exile?

Johan said earlier that GIE can purchase units, so I guess if you want to sell them some you can make them a really good price....
