Ok. Its IMO easy:
1. Poland exist as a country - independent TAG
2. Poland is beaten by Germany and creates GiE
3. Germany can have Collaboration Government (and any other form of occupation) which is only occupation policy and not puppet
4. Polish exist still as GiE (if AI or player chooses so)
5. USSR and Germany cannot create Poland (even as Puppet) as long as Polish GiE exists
6. Germany can create General Gouvern (modders job only and not Vanilla - separated TAG) independently from GiE
7. USSR can create PRL - Polska Republika Ludowa - Polish Peoples Republic (modders job and not Vanilla - separated TAG) independently from GiE
8. If Poland is occupied by its own faction then is released as independent country again - given its territory back and GiE stops to exist.

Am I right King/Johan ??? And at what point?

So we have to mod to get the game right or something? Last post on previous page?

Im affraid yes but its no problem for me - just give me the neccessary data and I can do it all. Ministers, Generals, names, neccessart events (its names and what should it do)
Vanilla should work as a source and engine IMO - the rest is for us. To made this game perfect you must do it by yourself.
No offence to the developers!

Well that sucks. I think I will pass on this game until I hear something against this. I want a Eastern block of Soviet puppets.

looking back at one of the screenshots:

- notice how eastern poland is owned by USSR and occupied by GER, while the rest is owned by POL giex and occupied by GER
- notice how croatia is owner and controller of its own provinces, while the rest of yugoslavia is owned by the YUG giex and controlled by ITA/GER/BUL
- also notice how the baltic countries do have their own giex and are merely occupied by USSR :) (I suspect this might change with the current version of the game)

What are those ugly lines over it? Can't it just go Germany color in Germany occupied lands like HOI2?

They want to imitate EU3 as much as possible :(

I expect the Baltic countries are under 'total exploitation'.

I don't think there will be a need. Notice that Czechoslovakia does not get a GiEx because they are annexed before the war? It sounds to me like GiEx can exist only while there is a war involving the factions.

Now:
Sort of, the Faction leader can reinstate the government in exile, if the faction holds enough land.

So, if the war ends with Germany having surrendered (assuming the historical events, for this example) then the Polish GiEx simply vanishes if Poland has not been handed back to it. USSR just refuses to reinstate the Polish GiEx until peace breaks out and then installs its puppet. Thinking about it, USSR may not even be able to reinstate Poland's GiEx, because it is not the faction leader where the Polish GiEx is exiled (and is a different faction than UK)...

While there is a reason for the lines, they still look like sh**.
Something a little prettier wouldn't hurt.
