Only for the sake of fight against ignorance, but the first tank who entered in Paris in order to liberate it from fascist control was driven by spaniards, veterans from that "petty event" of 1936.

You know what I forgot all about that! I also forgot that it was the Spain's and Portugal's troops that stormed the beaches during D-Day, fought their way up Italy, sank numerous Japanese ships and freed all mankind from the tyranny of WWII. I don't know how I had forgotten about that.
Portugal sold goods to both the Allies and the Axis. They stayed out of the war that was right in their own backyard and decided to just try to profit from it.
Spain's role in WWII was just as important. They did nothing but give the Germans some equipment back.
Neither country did anything positive during the war. They get what they worked so hard for...... Spanish Region.
