As most of us know, CO is a small team and therefore must be careful in how it chooses to spend it's time and resources creating this new game. I think we all have a list of things we would like to see included in the game, but it is not all possible before launch. Here is what I think their current priority looks like:
1. Make it fun. Create game-play that is exciting and enjoyable above all else.
2. Build a simulation model that reflects realism as much as possible without detracting from the fun.
3. Graphics quality and diversity.
I think this is a smart plan. Lay a solid stable foundation. Then build, expand, add, and tweak from there.
Also, and correct me if I am wrong, now that the game is in beta doesn't that mean it is feature complete for release? My understanding is that alpha is where features are added and beta is for refinement, polish, and debugging.
