Hm, small screen of nothing. Can't you give more screens of MAP with different views (political, etc) with different visual angles (different levels of zoom). Now you just gave us a viewpoint of microscope!

Thanks for clearing that out OHgamer. I wasn't sure whether it really was less, but at least it seemed to me that way. Good to hear that it hasn't at least been reduced, though like you said the number of provinces could be increased thanks to the more superior engine. Either way, if you ever want to refine your map once Victoria 2 is out than I'm always happy to help.Clio has the same number of provinces for Germany as in Vicky 1, plus one for Heligoland. It is most definitely NOT less, I can assure you. When Xie and I made the map, we decided to leave the number of provinces in Western Europe as is or add a couple, but never subtract.
And as King said, modders can add more provinces post commercial release if they want further refinement. This is something that I might consider as a mod once Vicky 2 is released. Xie and I drew Clio based on having a fixed limit of provinces, so some areas where we would have liked to have more provinces simply could not be done. With the base Clio map now part of Vicky 2, and with our work on Clio's Iron Heart, a bit more of a detailed map post commercial release is indeed possible as a mod for us to develop, though probably not as many provinces as we are planning for Iron Heart map.
It looks nice but I would prefer if it was a little different from Clio as that mod had a clear province limit to contend with and as I recall they took provinces away in some places (Alaska for example) and I feel that in those cases it would be better to be more like in the original map since the number of provinces will not be as important now.
Gosh. I don't know. With the recent decision to go with professional beta testers, don't you think a professional map-maker would be a better choice instead of using a couple of free map makers?I really like the use of CLIO. Paradox using the community.
keep in mind, Clio was hard limited at 2862 provinces because of the hard limit on the V1 engine. King has said in an earlier comment that there are 3200+ provinces at this point for V2, so there must be some extra provinces added in as well. So areas that we may have stripped in original Clio (Siberia, Alaska, the Sahara, and Oceans) most likely will be getting more provinces again if the developers feel the provinces we made were too big (which may be an issue, I know that mapmakers in EU3 found that if a province they wanted to add was too big it would cause problems).
