I don't think it's about making Steel Division fail. Do you think any of these complaints would have an impact, if they weren't rooted in truth? It's about providing feedback and expressing concern for what appears to be Eugen's new direction, with no statement on the future of Wargame. Is this a successor? An offshoot? No one in the community knows.
Oh come on, you know as well as I do that a certain part of the WRD community has been gleefully cheering every hiccup and calling this game dead division since before beta even ended.
I personally was pumped for this game and looking forwarded to WG4.
AND I'm expressing concern about how things have gone, and about the lack of communication from Eugen. What the hell is going on? Are they still planning a division patch? Do they have a time frame for delivery? Are they planning something to deal with the complete collapse in their active users? What is their vision for the future? I think a lot of people probably share my deep concern that we might never see another game out of Eugen if things don't turn around soon, and probably also share my belief that that would be a real tragedy for RTS players everywhere. Some sort of acknowledgement of this stuff and some kind of effort toward getting rid of those fears would probably go a lot further than highlighting the fact that yes we too have a wiki like every game in the past 15 years.
Ithe just feels like we went from solid (for Eugen) communication of plans and goals pre-release to complete radio silence after. I've experienced that several times before from them but it is still jarring every time it happens.
And I'm trolling too. But if we weren't trolling would this even be a Eugen community? I say no.
