STUG IV in game doesnt look like STUG IV in reality.
It's been reported already ... and stated that it was being fixed.

Castle Itter needs to be a movie. For some reason I think it would be great if Wes Anderson directed it.
Only after we've convinced Tarantino to make a movie about Léo Major ...

About the Battle for Castle Itter there is also a Sabaton's song, same name of the book posted up.
It seems they have "sung" them all ...
Just listened to it, the "Jenny at the gates" they referred to at the beginning of the song is "Besotten Jenny", captain Lee's Sherman. It was quickly put out of action at the beginning of the battle by a 88mm shot.

Question: Why does the Pz.Gren.Div. has no Halftrucks ? Historical they had those. So it would be nice to see those in that Div. as well. They lack on light vehicles. Same as the US Inf. Div. they miss those as well. What is the reason for those decision ???

@EUG_MadMat

Will Panzer-Lehr be the only German division with Tigers? I understand them being the only division with King Tigers, but I think it would be a shame if only a single German division had access to heavy tanks... did at least one of the other German divisions in the game have access to a heavy tank battalion with Tigers?

No, they hadn't received any by June 1944.
It didn't even have enough trucks to move all its infantry, some companies had to be moved ... on bicycles!
I would be interested to hear an official statement regarding this. Do you look at the whole normady campaign when making decisions over divisional equipment or do you look at a specific date (for example prelanding)? Or is it an act as one may see fit?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/17th_...sion_Götz_von_Berlichingen#Defense_of_Germany

"The Götz von Berlichingen took part in the defense of the 'West Wall' until March 18, 1945, when the Americans broke through. At this time its armored vehicle strength comprised 62 assault guns (of which 47 were operational) as well as two Mark IV tanks."

For God's sake, please add those Mark IVs. Come on, I know it's after Normandy, but if the 12. SS get a Firefly and a Cromwell the 17. SS surely deserve some 'Nazified' Mark IVs. :p

Considering most units didn't receive many, if any at all, replacements during the campaign and losses in men and equipment would just continue to mount I suspect they look at the division as close either to the 6th June or when it actually arrived in Normandy. Which is why I asked the question above about it having the wrong artillery pieces in it's TOE.

sPz.Abt 503(with Tiger I & Tiger II's) arrived in Normandy at the beginning of July and operated with the 16th Luftwaffefeld division and the 21.Pz division. When the 21.Pz division took over the Caen sector on the 8th July sPz.Abt 503 was attached to Pz Regt.22 of the 21.Pz division. It was still attached to the 21st Pz throughout July, e.g. during Operation Goodwood and on into August.

sSs Pz. Abt.101 fought with the 12th SS 'Hitlerjugend' throughout the Normandy campaign.

sSS PZ.Abt.102 went into action on 9th July and was attached to the 10th SS Pz Div. 'Frundsberg' and was employed as a substitute for it's missing Panther battalion.

I should add that the 5 Tiger II's from Pz. Kp.(Fkl) 316 that was attached to the Pz Lehr never actually fought in Normandy, they were prototypes and had mechanical problems. After some wandering they finally arrived in Chateaudun on the 13th August and were deployed withing the city as defense against the approaching US army. All 5 were lost during August.

Pz.Kp.(Fkl) 316 was finally equipped and went into action with 3 Tiger I's and 10 StuGs.

Very informative, thank you. :)

12. SS don't get any heavy tanks, though, do they? Not in the beta, anyway.

I suppose we'll have to wait for the 21. Panzer then, and of course the Panzer-Lehr.

Have to admit I'm surprised that the 12th SS 'Hitlerjugend' didn't get any, especially as sSS Pz.Abt. 101 was Michael Wittmanns unit, unless they're holding them back on purpose.

The 12SS had no Tigers at all, only Panthers and Pz.IV and Stugs.

Not as part of it's TOE, but the 12th SS and sSS Pz.Abt.101 were under the command of the I.SS Panzerkorps and operated together, and as we have seen with the 91.Luftlande division they are not averse to including tanks etc that were attached to a division whilst not actually being a part of that division e.g. Pz.Abt 206 and it's French tanks.

Let’s focus today on the sole official German mechanized division fielded in Normandy, the “Iron Fist Division”: 17. SS-Panzergrenadier-Division ‘Götz von Berlichingen.
http://www.eugensystems.com/steel-d...-17-ss-panzergrenadier-gotz-von-berlichingen/

There are some grammar and spelling mistakes concerning the German terms in the linked article, I wanted to point out, just in case you guys care. No big deal, it's nice anyway, that you guys use German terms, where they seem fitting, which also makes the article more authentic, but for natural German speakers it's wrong unfortunately. In case you want to correct it:
"Volksdeutsch" would be an adjective, but you mean the Noun and the correct plural version in this particular case would be "Volksdeutsche". "Kuss mein Arsche-Division“ is also wrong. It should read: "Küss meinen Arsch-Division". I'm fully aware, that my English might also not be correct to natural English speakers, those can feel free to correct me... ;)
