On the subject of AI, could we also have it trained to deal with space fluff and marauder punks, once it has adequate fleet power? I know this means less anomalies in the late game and hoping that the AI actually makes use of some rare techs that only come off of space creeps, but it's a bit sad when you roll through another empire and see they've left an opened system because of the small clumps of amoebas with 500 fleet power, while the AI can easily filed 5K or better fleets. I'd be fine if it just left leviathans and specifically named creep along; especially, if there are concerns that it'll never use the tech that can be gained from them (which either means AI fleet designer needs to be made more competent, the tech needs to have value in some situation or the tech needs to not be locked behind a single space beasty).

Maybe the fix with pirates will deal with it, but I know before 2.3 the AI would never touch space creeps, pirates or original marauder territory until they got in a war with something. Then AI only fought it, if it just happened to be on the most direct path between the AI's fleet and something that fleet decided to attack.

Starnet has its way with the AI, but I guess vanilla AI fixes will also help improve everything even with the mod. Good work. As for performance, my game launched without any problems at launch day of 2.3 but I had to deactivate all mods. Now I play with some mods and it works fine. The game runs much smoother for me in late years (2300 or so).

Anyone else's game broken and unplayable after trying to install this beta patch? It seems to have corrupted stellaris.exe and trying to revert back did not work. Two failed complete uninstalls and reinstalls so far. Trying to go back to the original game which was working fine before i tried this beta patch. Most recent failed install keeps saying a file is locked.

Please fix Spiritualism's Planatery Decision activated by minor artifact. It increases culture worker's output. If you are megacorp, it increases excutive and manager..
According to the devs, that's working as intended, though it does make me sad that my precursor-worshiping spiritualists can't show their faith by enshrining artifacts on their planets.

Finally after a successful clean install 2.3 is working again. As soon as i update to the beta patch though same thing. Launcher seems to be opening then immediately shuts down, then stellaris.exe is deleted because subsequent launches say stellaris.exe is missing. makes no sense. Checked anti-virus but it hasn't quarantined any files. No idea why the stellaris.exe keeps getting removed. Trying to update or reinstall just gets hung with no progress.

The "can't abandon a planet" bug is a deal-breaker for me. How can I displace the filthy xenos if I'm stuck with their garbage planets inside my borders?

It made my outliner all wonky :(

Edit: Feel free to take the opportunity to fix the election underway text bug.

I did find one work around, but it will get real tedious real fast is you go full warmonger on the galaxy. If you switch to observer mode and then give the observer ownership of the "abandoned" planet, the planet reverts to an actual abandoned state.

It seems that machine ascension pop problem still exists that after modified you still can't select your own pop to build

Please say it ain't so! I'm working on the Synth Ascension project right now! I don't want that headache again.

So, as a guy who was playing the game just fine yesterday, today I can't play, and i'm assuming its because of the hotfix patch.
Steam is telling me it can't find stellaris.exe. My antivirus is off. Steam seems to get stuck validating the files. I've opted out of the beta. No go, opted into the beta, no go. Rebooted steam, my PC, and did a whole uninstall/reinstall to no effect.

Anyone got any ideas?

Update: Uninstall/reinstall in safemode seems to have worked. No idea whats up with that. But It's working again. First time i've had a paradox game break like that. Still not as bad as EVE online accidentally deleting boot.ini from the C drive one time....

will you can use and build unmodified stock synth and wait for Worm in time or alien box event, after either's adding trait, then you can do anything with the type with event trait, and can set build your synth normally

Replacing districts still doesn't work. When the replacement district is finished being constructed, the old district is demolished but the new replacement district is not constructed. You still lose the time and resources though.

Edit 1: *sigh* Building your main species after synthetically ascending is still really buggy. It worked for a short time and then broke again after having modded my species a second time post ascension. The Supremacist faction still won't accept a synth main species as a leader either.

Edit 2: I like how a post that states facts can be "disagreed" with, as if that makes it any less factual.

Are you able to build your main species at all, because I literally can't build them? In 2.2, the game would at least occasionally decide to build them, but I can't even get it to do that. If one of my worlds decides to build my main species, it just cancels the build order when the month ticks over like so.

This is what most of my worlds keep doing. I can't prioritize my main species or tell it to choose for itself because it just keeps getting cancelled. My planets refuse to build pops. The only way I can build any pops is to prioritize the construction of a non-main robotic species. Ascending has broken my game.

can only build the first version of new synth pop
if change all of them to a different subtype
then cannot build any new synth pop at all
only regular robot
synth ascension have major bug like this for every major new update

Synthetic Ascension hasn't worked properly since MegaCorp was released. It is frustrating, to say the least, that a feature I paid money for hasn't worked in half a year. I just don't understand. Building all other robotic species works fine, so why can't building your main robot species work?

In 2.3.0 distance wasn't effecting diplomacy - This was great, suddenly made playing a MegaCorp much more enjoyable.

In 2.3.1 Beta distance is effecting diplomacy again - It this intended?
