And still no fix for those nasty multiplayer desync problems...

... would be great if you start focusing on the core problems before developing new features - since the last DLC story pack the 2-3 occasional desync in a 2 hour timespan increased up to 10 in 1 hour.... in a 3 human player game ...

It may not amount to a complete fix, but it’s not nothing.

Some of the guys here really need to upgrade their processor at least. I have a core i7-8850 and the game runs fine at 2350 and beyond unless I switch to speed 3 and then the performance issues appear(still playable). However, if it is causing your game to crash or freeze or to the point of being unplayable, then yes you need to get a newer processor or better, purchase a stronger computer. No performance update will ever fix your issue completely.

As soon as I open the L gate the game starts lagging and freezes up around 30 seconds or so and lasting 3-5 seconds, making the game unplayable. This is running the game on the fastest speed with 1k stars before opening the L gate the game was running fine. This beta does not fix that so I hope there is a fix for this issue still coming because I read in a bug report you guys had a fix for this. Also zero leviathans are spawning now and this is really disappointing.

Also: "* Now possible to achieve partial victory in subjugationand liberation wars with occupied systems splitting off as a new subject or ally in the event of a status quo peace"

What happens if I were to subsequently do partial victories; will I be able to add to my vassal, or will create new vassals with each partial victory?

Can someone please tell me whats this "lag/stuttering" issue? I haven't been able to play a lot recently because of exams and stuff. I bought distant stars and played for about 20-30 years and I haven't noticed anything and I'm playing on my shitty laptop.
The game repeatedly freezes for a few seconds after opening the L-gate. The game runs just fine up until then so it is not generally slower than before it's just that something happens around that point in the game.

2350 is still practically game start. :p You also don't seem to understand the nature of this issue. First it begins to stutter. Then lag out. Then eventually the game locks up entirely and WIn10 pops up "program has stopped responding" msg every so many minutes each time the lag occurs. This is opposed to playing a max size game with the maximum number of AI spawns to 2600 with minimal lag before Distant Stars was added.

Hmm I see. Me and a friend have been playing an MP game and we are currently at 2403 and have yet to experience drastic performance issues like the ones you mentioned. We've also opened L gates several times and we get a stutter initially for a few in game days which disappears completely soon after. Well if there is indeed a issue I do look forward to have it fixed and performance further improved.

Opening the L-Cluster to find nothing feels unsatisfying. I actually thought it had just bugged out when it happened. Shouldn't there be like an Event pop-up upon looking inside, or surveying one of the Nanite worlds, talking about how it's an eerie, dead place, with little indication of what happened to it? My empire began harnessing nanite residue without really acknowledging the clear aftermath of a Grey Goo catastrophe.

Could we get a rebalance to factions after synth ascending included in the rolling beta? Currently going Synthetic practically wipes out all other factions because almost all non-spiritual synths join the materialist faction.

EDIT: have the people who "respectfully disagreed" even played ascended synths? Or are they just happy with them being quasi-hiveminds and losing access to every faction except the materialist one?

why do you think this is a bug?

Do you mean what I posted? Note that I never said it's a bug (if I thought it was I would've posted it to bug reports forum). It might be completely intentional, which I doubt, but intentional or not, it sucks. It completely removes the internal politics game, locks one to what ethics they currently have (except shifting towards materialist) and does that without giving any hint about that in the in-game documentation or flavor text.

On top of that all, it makes no sense fluff-wise. Why would everyone change their mind about politics after adopting a new body? Not just many, but practically everybody.
