Sry for hearing that.. 68 years passed playing with Rome and I didn't have that issue.. Maybe just bad luck?

I dont think so, i played two quick games with easy nations to test this. The above game was with Egypt, but i also played a rome game for 65 years. I still had a few 7 or 8 skill guys waiting for a position, and a lost 10 or 11 somewhere, but with rome you could also see the writing on the wall, and where it would lead. Im pretty sure if i keep playing the rome game for another 30 years i'd en up in the same devastating state as in my egypt game.

To make it more playable, And I think more realistic, I lowered the required jobs for every family to 1 job, So you can give them a shitty navy or army somewhere. It is quite simple to do.

Open 00_defines in the /common/defines folder and edit EXPECTED_JOB_PERCENTAGE to whatever suits your purpose.

You can edit a lot of values in this file to improve the gameplay IMO

Mate, thanks for giving me the idea to go trough that whole file. I checked it all out and changed data on firtility, family sizes, and number of Great Families. I also changed the expected job percentage. And im now playing a cartage game, in which i see a great number of children being born, i hope good hope it will be playable like this :) It's a shame we have to dive into a file like this to make a game playable, but i love this game, so its worth it! cheers :)

I played as bactria and insulted the Seleukids like hell. Eventually got my loyalty down to 0.

Phrygia declared war against the Seleukids. I was planning to declare war on the Seleukids since they are busy in the west. But i got pulled in to the war even though i was a disloyal subject. In 1.2 disloyal subjects dont get pulled into the wars of their overlords.

Is this intended in 1.3?

- Added the effect for reducing city rank to the harshest option of the city fall events.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but that doesn't seem to work for me in game. When taking a city with your ruler, at least according to the tooltip the 3rd option does not turn a city into a settlement. The only change I noticed is that it no longer cuases your character to become "cruel", so in fact the option has less severe consequences.

Whenever I declare on an overlord with a disloyal subject, the subject doesn't get pulled in, so no, this is not intended.
