I'm not sure about your translation, if they were being held captive by elves, what about the other Paradox teams? They all seem fine.
Elf sympathizers, obviously. Or perhaps the elves made an example of the Runemaster team, and the other teams are now doing their best to pretend to be normal, out of fear of being next.

I've just discovered satanic imagery, linking the developers to the great Elvish conspiracy.

Unless, it's an UPSIDE DOWN SATANIC SYMBOL to further conceal the elven treachery. I am increasingly concerned now about the possibility of an elven takeover at paradox. Considering the trouble with Crusader Kings 2's Charlemagne DLC, I'm even willing to hazard the possibility that elven infiltration could even date back to East vs. West. They must have made the DLC while under siege in their offices by elven tricksters, we can only hope that the HoI4 team is aware of their coworkers' plight and can save them.

If Stockholm truly has fallen to the Elves then all is lost. We must form some sort of...last alliance of Men, and...well just men, and women... Only then, can we stand against the overwhelming enemy. Arise! Arise sons and daughters of Humanity! Strike forth against the Elven menace!

Well it's a weekend, the developers have probably been forced back into the cages by the elves. They do that you know. God forbid the elves decide to undertake a Wild Hunt with the Paradox devs, I don't know how well a bunch of Swedes would do in that scenario.

I bet the elves stole the DD.

And I also bet that Paradox has done it again... put a release date they can't reach and that the game will be pushed back and maybe cancelled.

It was nice reading all those diaries, but I'm disappointed that this game is cancelled.
As far as I know, neither Magna Mundi nor East vs West were being developed by Paradox so I fail to see your point here, unless it is only an elf joke.

Sadly this is was most people think... *sigh* Magna Mundi and East vs West were from outsite developers who aren't reach there goal in the right time. Runemaster is a Paradox own project with professional developers and there own team. And... It's Johans dream project.

Well I certainly hope they aren't reevaluating the project or anything just based on forum activity. I mean, it's a fairly large diversion from Paradox's usual games, and there's no way that the kind of wide enthusiasm they get for HoI4 or even just a CK2 DLC will come about here, because no one has any idea what really to expect. The game is far outside the types of games that most of the people on these forums play. It just is my actual, serious concern that a lack of comments on the forum could be misconstrued as a lack of marketable interest in the game.

I'd be surprised if they thought this - they'll be well aware that it's a very different game from the usual, plus it's a new series, which is two huge strikes against it in terms of drawing forum interest. Throw on top of that a pile of DLC for CK2 and EU4 to distract people, and HoI4 in the works (where I spend most of my forum time atm), and it's just too early to say. Would deffo be a right shame if that's the case, turn-based combat RPGs are enjoying a bit of a resurgence at the moment, and Runemaster could fit in very nicely in amongst it :).

I think that quite a large portion of the forum enjoys RPGs the problem is that most people have no knowledge(or very limited knowledge) of Norse mythology. Plus most people just stick to their forum so to say, I stick to HoI4 forums (and OT of course). I don't read the DDs of EU4 or CK2 expansion DLCs but I end up buying them either way.

The only RPG which I am more excited about than Runemaster is the Elder Scrolls games. Nothing beats the Elder Scrolls (although I skipped Elder Scrolls Online, I am eagerly waiting for Elder Scrolls VI)

You chose, wisely. Elder Scrolls Online was a terrible waste of time and turned from something promising in beta to something horrible in practice.

I think for those of us who liked the Elder Scrolls game, we'll just have to wait for the next Fallout instead. Atom willing, Fallout 4 will be announced next month.

I'd agree with you on ESO but Fallout will never substitute for an ES game for me, I just prefer fantasy to SF. Atm thers a lot of fantasy games that are promising to deliver a lot but I'm wary of (eg TW3, Pillars of Eternity). Then again Dragon Age: Inquisition can only be better than I expect. I suspect one of the main reasons I liked Skyrim was because my expectations after Oblivion were so low.

I'd love a new Fallout, my personal favourite RPG series, as long as it's made by Obsidian anyway...and they actually get enough time to stamp out the game breaking bugs... *Twitches in love and severe annoyance*

Anyway, for now, my most eagerly awaited RPG's Runemaster, even if I don't like it, I think it'll help Paradox expand in making other interesting games.
