Everything points to the next dlc will be set on the eastern front there the name of the patch will accompany that it will be called Barbarossa and that the thematic dlc for certain areas will not begin until the round of large reworks is finishedI expect most eyes will still be upon CK3 for the moment, and work is also being done on the EU4 South-East Asia update. Once we've moved beyond that, I still have hope for some new HOI4 DLC! Would be nice to see them focusing on the middle-east theatre.
If they abandon hoi4 to make hoi5 after almost 2-3 years it means that with hoi4 they admit that they have failed from the beginning and it is better to redo a new game from 0 (by failed I mean all errors such as lack of a true supply system, super-oversimplified economy, the phony espionage system, when they have other games where it's done better!)Methinks they're working on something major to prepare for the next expansion and simply don't have anything substantial to show yet. Of course this could just be wishful thinking on my part. I refuse to believe they'd just abandon their most popular game.
I suppose they really couldn't afford another Imperator launch. They've just released a game that's solid and well made from day 1. This is revolutionary, and will cause all sorts of office politics and changes in their culture. HOI4 will end up benefiting from it to some degree, once the dust has settled, but not as much as HOI5 will.
CK3 has plenty of issues bud, dont believe everything IGN says. They've just released a game that's solid and well made from day 1. I can tell you right now that ck3 may look pretty but its still a steaming pile and it will take plenty of DLC to raise it to the level of ck2, thats just paradox's MO. But this isnt a ck3 forum so I'll stop and I understand what your saying. All new games have issues, that goes without saying. My point was that the long tradition of releasing a steaming pile of manure in 1.0, and then turning it into a good game over the years, has ended with a competent launch. In an office environment, this kind of thing causes upheaval and changes in staffing, which might well explain the temporary silence from the devs.
Because there's some people in the thread wondering if the sky is falling, no, it'd be very out-of-character for PDX to just ghost one of their games. Are we abandoned?
They could at least present a more detailed roadmap for 1.10 and 1.11I think the delay is just because they're still working on stuff and don't have anything to show off yet.
Already provided on April 8, 2020 1.9.1 Patch & Roadmap update.A road map update of here is where we are, here is where we would like to go over the next 12 months would be very nice. Then leave all the gritty details for later when you can actually show them off.
Get ready guys, tommorow there will be something with metaxas
