And it wanted to break away from the UK during WW2 because Scots were unhappy with conscription laws and Nationalists sympathised for Nazi Germany. There were supposed preparations for a German invasion or a coup as german weapon caches were found (according to MI6). Even today there are still Nazi relics to be found in political places such as Bute House.

i suppose as a releasable nation? i guess it makes as much sense as having a releasable ukraine lol. BUT nations that partook in WW2 should be put back in first especially one as large as manchukuo, after that hell yeah im up for a releasable scotland maybe wales as well

deception plan with fake unit on the map

Interesting idea... "Maskirovka (Маскировка)" could be an entire research tree or a national focus.

To some extent, every nation practices military deception. In a multiplayer game, deception would keep the opponents on their toes.

Don't know how hard it would be to implement. The fake 'units' would have 0 attack and 0 defense. Once engaged by the enemy, they would be immediately eliminated (?).

I don't normally make a point of advertising my mod on the main forum (always seems a bit gauche to me) but if you want to try Manchukuo in HoI IV then there are of course several mods that do this, and Vanilla+ (link in my sig) is one. I believe I've managed to resolve some of the issues the devs are concerned about (taking resources away from Japan, and division spamming) and I've also added a focus for Japan that adds infrastructure and military factories in Manchukuo if it's a puppet or ally. I also have an event (via a request on Steam) for a player-controlled Manchukuo to become fully independent and do its own thing -- assuming you're some kind of masochist and that's what you want to do.

Anyway, if you're interested check it out, and if not then just ignore this. :)

do you have any specifics you would like to see expanded?
For modding, the big thing I wish was possible is the ability for the mod to overwrite specific nested UI containers/blocks, without having to redefine the whole thing from the ground up.

i.e. if I make an entry in the .gui file which defines something like

}

then the game goes and redefines only content of the UI element in question ( armour_subtitle_medium inside of armour_subtitles inside of armour_folder inside of countrytechtreeview )

this way we could have mods which alter different elements of the UI (like, separate pages of the tech view) co-exist easily, without need to make a single UI definition file for the whole UI part in question, that manually combines changes from all mods in question.

i know man but thats a mod. I want a official Manchukuo straight from the devs themselves not a mod. Besides people who dont use mods might not ever know Manchukuo existed unless the devs put it in as a official content update for everyone

also Devs if you ever plan to do sprites for Manchukuo. the general army uniform by 1936 was exactly the same as the Japanese and they were armed exactly the same also. the only difference being they had a 5 coloured star on the helmet/hat instead of the japanese gold star.

for planes they used the Ki-2 hayabusa 'oscar' fighter, which is what you could use for the sprite

I'd like something that expands on the political system. Maybe adding another ideology. Like bringing back paternal aristocrat from the previous games? A lot of leaders who are now categorized as fascist would fall under it such as Petain, Horthy, Franco. Are there any plans to make the political system a little more realistic and in depth?

Pétain and Horthy should be non-aligned, and I wrote a bug report on this a while back.

Improving trade -- for instance, option to automatically adjust existing trade deal #s; support for fractional trades if you have multiple trades with the same power (so if you need 2 rubber and 2 oil, you can get both from the same power and only exchange 1 IC) or even somehow support for fractional trades even if you don't have multiple trades w/ the same power.

Rethink of the entire trade law/export/import system if possible.

Yep, put a tab on toolbar on top that changes color as you trade for more or something. I think I'm fine with the trade laws (simplifies micromanagement), but this is not a feedback thread.
